How to Style Fantasy Marble for a Breezy, Polished Kitchen
If you're looking for something soft, elegant, and versatile, Fantasy Marble is a beautiful place to begin.

When summer rolls in, many of us feel inspired to refresh our spaces—and the kitchen is a great place to start. Whether you’re planning a full renovation or simply upgrading your countertops, choosing the right surface sets the tone for the entire room. If you're looking for something soft, elegant, and versatile, Formica’s Fantasy Marble is a beautiful place to begin.
In this post, we’ll introduce you to Fantasy Marble, share why it’s such a popular choice, and show you how we’ve styled it using cabinets, tile, paint, and hardware available right here at East Coast Countertops. The result is a kitchen design that feels fresh, calming, and perfectly suited to the season.
Fantasy Marble is part of Formica’s 180fx collection. It mimics the look of real stone with layered grey tones and flowing veining that feels both refined and relaxed. This laminate design gives you the beauty of marble without the upkeep or the cost of natural stone.
We love it because it works so well in light, airy kitchens and plays nicely with a wide range of colours and finishes. It’s subtle, calming, and brings a gentle sophistication to your space. At East Coast Countertops, we keep this surface in stock, so you can easily see it in person and start planning your dream kitchen.
To help you bring out the best in Fantasy Marble, we’ve put together a full summer-inspired design using products you can find here in our showroom.
We chose Prestolam’s Style 7035 in M2004V for the cabinet doors. This finish has a cool cream tone with a soft woodgrain texture that adds depth without being too busy. It’s sleek and modern but still feels warm, which complements the movement in the countertop beautifully. We finished the look with the Indio Pull in Matte Gold. This hardware adds a gentle warmth and a hint of shine that works beautifully with both the cooler tones of the countertop and the softer neutrals in the paint and cabinetry.
Lighthouse Tile Artisan tile in Moss Green brings a pop of soft, earthy colour to the mix. The glaze has natural variation, which gives it a handcrafted feel and a beautiful texture—like sea glass or smooth pebbles from the shore. It’s subtle but adds just the right amount of interest behind the counter or above the stove.
Here are a few Sherwin-Williams paint colours we think pair perfectly with this look:
Each of these shades adds something a little different, but all of them help create a calm, cohesive colour story.
This month’s Surface Spotlight is all about simplicity, softness, and texture. Fantasy Marble is a great choice if you’re aiming for a look that’s elegant but still feels easy and inviting. It’s light enough for small spaces, detailed enough to feel special, and versatile enough to evolve with your style over time.
Everything featured in this look is available right here at East Coast Countertops. From cabinets to tile and hardware, our team can help you bring your vision to life from design to installation.
